Tim Broihier – Lead Pastor
Pastor Tim is an ordained minister of the Assemblies of God. He earned a bachelor’s degree (1985) in Biblical studies from Central Bible College (CBC) in Springfield, Mo., and a master’s degree (2002) in pastoral studies from the Church of God Theological Seminary in Cleveland, Tenn.
Pastor Tim grew up Catholic in Racine, Wis. Upon attending a Bible study in the home of an Assembly of God family he received Christ as his Savior in April 1974. While in high school, he received his call into the ministry and attended CBC. He has been in full-time ministry since graduating in 1985, and was ordained in May 1991.
Kim grew up in Sterling, Ill., and attended Rock River Christian Center. Tim and Kim both had been involved in their church youth groups, had jobs throughout high school, and enjoyed sports. They met at CBC in 1980. They married in 1982, and had their daughter, Kassi, in November 1987.
Pastor Tim and Kim have been in ministry more than 21 years. Together, they were youth and children’s pastors in Michigan and in North Carolina for 10 years. In 1994, Pastor Tim accepted a position as senior pastor of an Assemblies of God church in Andrews, N.C. After serving there for more than 7 years, Tim and Kim were led by God to First Assembly of God Church in Edwardsville. Since being here, Kim has earned a degree in elementary education at SIUE, and now teaches 7th grade. Kassi, a graduate of Evangel University in Springfield, Mo., teaches middle school Spanish. She married Matthew Biggerstaff in June 2012.
Josh Wolfe – Youth and Children’s Pastor
Pastor Josh is an ordained minister in the Assemblies of God. He grew up in Santa Maria, Calif., and dedicated his life to Jesus in 1998 while attending the youth group at Pacific Christian Center. Pastor Josh and his bride, Charity, met while attending Central Bible College, from which they both graduated in 2005, They married in July 2007. Charity had spent her early years in Joliet, Ill., where she attended Joliet First Assembly and accepted Jesus into her heart when she was a child.
Josh enjoys watching and playing sports; he played football and baseball in high school. He also enjoys music, he has played guitar and bass guitar on many different worship teams, including Liberty’s, for which he plays guitar. He has been involved with youth ministry since 1999 as a youth leader and as a youth pastor. He has a passion to reach teenagers with the gospel.
Josh and Charity helped pioneer a youth and children’s ministry in California before coming to Edwardsville, and have served in Children’s ministry as well. They are passionate about raising up young people to love and serve the Lord Jesus and to fulfill God’s plan for their lives.
The Wolfes have four children: Joshua, Elijah, Joy and Abigail.
Lesia Walton – Secretary
Lesia has been attending Liberty Worship Center (formerly First Assembly of God) since she was a child. Lesia came to Christ when she was brought to church on the church bus, she gave her heart to the Lord and has been serving Christ ever since. She has a passion to serve God. She oversees the Women’s ministry, directs Cre8tiv Expressions drama and dance ministry and is actively involved in the youth ministries department. She is gifted in organization and administration.
